Build out multi-artboard designs faster, with matching backgrounds, direct canvas actions and more reliable connected-agent workflows.
Artboards on the canvas
- Choose a transparent, white or custom-color background when creating an artboard, just as you can for the first canvas. Solid backgrounds remain editable layers and follow artboard resizing.
- With the Artboard tool active, use the + buttons on the top, right, bottom and left edges to create a matching artboard in that position.
- Click an artboard’s name to select it and activate the Artboard tool. Shift-click names to select multiple artboards.
- A shared selection outline encloses all selected artboards. Move them together with their layers; individual artboards keep their resize handles.
- Right-click an artboard or its name for Rename / Resize, Duplicate and Delete. Multi-artboard duplication and deletion are each one undoable action.
- Delete or Backspace removes selected artboards and their contents. Undo restores the artboards, contents and selection.
- Backgrounds, positions and editable content are preserved when saving and reopening projects.
More reliable MCP workflows
- Layer and tab lists now return structured objects that work correctly with Claude Code and other MCP clients.
- Slow or stalled requests no longer block every subsequent call. Agents can still inspect the app while an edit waits for project I/O or rendering.
- Requests support cancellation and bounded timeouts. Withdrawn work cannot commit late document changes.
- Agent-created canvases start clean, without an empty placeholder layer.
- Set text color and tracking when creating text, avoiding an extra recoloring step.
- Discover fonts by family and style, with exact PostScript names for text creation and clearer invalid-font errors.
- Mesh gradients and device mockup rendering now honor cancelled agent requests before changing the document.
- Opened project copies use the source project’s name instead of a generic Untitled tab.
- Updated tool schemas and the bundled agent guide describe the current result shapes, discovery options and canvas controls.
A more consistent interface
- Creation sheets, export and document panels, and floating tool panels use Rasterloom’s own panel colors, typography and button styling.
- Panel appearance follows the app’s selected theme, including comparison and PDF workflows.
Requirements: Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later.
