Color, fills and gradients, right where you work.
A shared color picker
- Use Rasterloom’s color picker across text, shapes, vectors, backgrounds and effects.
- Pick colors visually, sample from the screen, or enter precise HEX, RGB, HSL and OKLCH values.
- Keep document, recent and saved colors close at hand.
- Author shape and vector paint in sRGB or Display P3.
- The picker fits its content, without unused space below the controls.
Fills and gradients without the modal
- Edit fill and stroke stacks directly from Properties, with live canvas previews and Undo/Redo.
- Adjust gradient direction and geometry on the canvas.
- Add and drag gradient stops, edit their position and opacity, and remove a selected stop with Backspace. Start and end stops can also be removed while retaining at least two stops.
- Choose Classic RGB, Perceptual Oklab or Vibrant OKLCH gradient interpolation.
- Pin the paint editor when you want to keep it open alongside your artwork.
A smoother workspace
- New canvases no longer include an unused starter pixel layer. Painting creates one when needed; solid backgrounds remain editable Background layers.
- New text chooses a contrasting default color against the artwork beneath it. A color you choose explicitly is preserved.
- Fixed an editor freeze when double-clicking a library asset into an existing canvas.
- Improved inspector spacing and readability of compact numeric controls.
Requirements: Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later. Canvas assistants use an installed, signed-in ChatGPT or Claude CLI.
